The Kempen Route is full of variety
About the Kempen Route
213 km
The Kempen Route stretches between Antwerp and Maasmechelen and offers plenty of variety. It leads through woods, across expansive stretches of heath, past dunes, the likes of which you might expect in the Sahara, and along the Kempen lakes, as well as industrial mining heritage along an old coal railway.
Accessible Kempen Route
The accessible Kempen Route covers 96 km and is almost entirely flat. It runs between Antwerp and Mol along the iconic ‘Kempen Route’ cycle route and is accessible to less mobile cyclists. The paths are wide enough to accommodate non-standard bicycles, cargo bikes or bicycles towing trailers.
