Day 2: Pajottenland - Geraardsbergen

Today we start in the Pajottenland and finish in the Flemish Ardennes. Both regions are hilly, yet each has its own distinct character. The varied landscape of the Pajottenland undulates gently. Along the way, we encounter rural life and occasionally exchange glances with a Belgian draft horse grazing in the fields. 

As the route progresses, the scenery changes. In the Flemish Ardennes, the climbs become steeper and more demanding. We push on towards Geraardsbergen, a name that immediately resonates with cycling enthusiasts thanks to the legendary Muur van Geraardsbergen. The town also offers other heritage highlights, including its own charming Manneken Pis, which we could not resist visiting.
