Our cycling adventure begins with a dose of heritage on Brussels’ iconic Grand Place. From there, we leave the urban bustle behind. Passing through the triumphal arch in the vast Cinquantenaire Park, we head towards the green belt surrounding the city.

Before we know it, we find ourselves immersed in the unspoilt nature of the Sonian Forest. We cycle along beautiful tree-lined avenues, flanked by centuries-old trees, while birdsong provides the perfect soundtrack.

In the medieval town of Halle, we take a well-earned break. A coffee and a slice of cake at cycling café Falco give us fresh energy before tackling the final kilometres of the day. These lead us to Gaasbeek, a green gem in the Pajottenland. Just before reaching our B&B, we enjoy a stunning panorama, with the elegant skyline of Brussels visible in the distance, where our day began.
